We’ve had odd Thanksgivings before, like this one from 78 years ago. If you didn’t know this, that’s a decent sign that this year will also fade into memory—something young people can ask us about when we are old. Assuming you’re not yet. 😊

Question for those who don’t live in a climate where you can use your garage or enclosed porch as an extension of your fridge: How do you even manage holidays?

In the We Know Nothing About COVID vein, here's a study showing relative efficacy of cloth masks for filtering aerosols. There are studies saying the opposite, so it's not like we have a consensus yet, but I think my light-up mask would test well here, so BIAS CONFIRMED.

We know next to nothing about COVID. I keep saying the documentaries that get made a decade hence will be great. In the mean time, here is some responsible-seeming science on immunity and re-infection. It is encouraging!

My church does a Thanksgiving Eve service—just not in person this year. I might be going overboard with the pre-recording, but at least I left the slider and B camera at home. 😜

It's a good day when I can interview on the podcast! She and I recently got to talk about how to make multi-tenancy happen in . The doctor delivers:

For example, if I ever really learned to sing, I think I'd need an audio spectrum analyzer sort of like this one. (We may never know for sure, of course.)

The sounds are beautiful inasmuch as they are nostalgic. The visualization, though, is just remarkable. There's some value in seeing the frequency domain. There's no robust sense in which this is how the world "is," but it's a such useful abstraction in so many ways.

It's the first reply to the tweet that's the best LOL here, but also the bathrooms are worth thinking about. If you've read Lewis's That Hideous Strength, tell me the N.I.C.E. wouldn't design bathrooms like that. I think you know they would.

On that topic, she hooked me up with a "pumpkin pie" (not to be confused with PSL) essential oil, which is 💯 in the diffuser right now and I feel like everything is going to be okay.

Oh, hey, here's my Christmas playlist if anyone's interested: Might add some stuff later today that Mrs. Berglund shared with me. Works well on shuffle. And yes, I know it's not Thanksgiving yet.
