    I am! I've built a dual monitor RPi4 4GB out of 2 old TVs, with bluetooth keyboard and mouse, heatsinks and fan and a 2TB hard drive - the kids are doing all their school coursework on it, as it's the fastest thing we've now got!

    More record traffic - looks like we're seeing a lot of new customer activity during lockdown. Using a Pi for home-working or home-schooling? Let us know about it!

    Over the last few months we've enlarged the download cluster from two to four data centres to improve redundancy. Yesterday we broke our bandwidth record for OS downloads - and exceeded the combined capacity of the previous dual site cluster.

    We're just the hardware supplier, but I speculate about this here (). You have to have failsafes, and once you have them I think you have some flexibility in what you use at the primary controller.

    Also, given that any reasonable design will implement defence in depth (preferably mechanical or fixed-function logic) for failure of the primary controller, pick your poison for the primary software environment: Python on Linux for Cortex-A, or C on RTOS/baremetal for Cortex-M.

    The "5G" mast burning has spread to Ireland - and look at the damage caused to vital services

    The telecommunications masts set on fire in Donegal last night were not 5g. It was 3 and 4g infrastructure which was being upgraded to provide additional capacity to Letterkenny General Hospital and the surrounding area. 👏👏👏

    We're making them as fast as we can: we're prioritising large ventilator and other health orders at the moment, so I'm afraid it'll take a while to get back to normal.

    March was our second-biggest month ever for sales, at 640,000 units. Sales of 4 accelerated through the month, and we're fielding a lot of ventilator-related inquiries. Lots of work going on to keep the supply chain going.

    We're really pleased that so many of you are finding Raspberry Pi so useful at the moment - greetings from our home office to yours!

    Great to hear your stories of using 4 computers for inexpensive home working and learning during lockdown. And because "data" is not the plural of "anecdote", here's a graph of repo server traffic (a proxy for new installations). HT .

    CNN has Raspberry Pi down as one of its go-to options for remote learning. Setup's much easier than you might think - and you'll save a TON of money while you're at it.
