I created and actively maintain Altair GraphQL Client in all its forms currently, as well as contribute to other community projects including GraphiQL IDE. Altair has grown to be a very useful tool for a lot of developers in the community across the world, and I have loved making an impact to the community this way. Maintaining open source tools however comes with lots of demand for resources from the maintainer, including:

  • time - for managing issues, introducing new features, fixing bugs, answering questions, updating documentations, etc
  • money - for running the site, hosting, updating desktop applications, code signing, etc.
