Your Dream Flight Simulator Has Just Landed
These plans are based on a "Pay What You Want" model. Though I could charge money for these plans, I want to give this project's plans and files away on this GitHub for free.

Section 1 : (Archived for now) Nose (Where the PC goes) [defined as from 24" fw of firewall to the firewall]
Section 2 : Structure and All Instruments/Components [defined as from the firewall to 24" aft of firewall]
Section 2A/2G : INSTRUMENT PANELS and panel templates. Letter designates type.
Section 2A : Analog Panel Template (Steam Gauges and Radio Stack)
Section 2G : Garmin G1000 based Cessna 172 Panel

Top level files are usually to big to store on GitHub, so instead you can download them from the links on this spreadsheet. Please start an issue should a link not properly work.
Take a look at the Standard components the Cessna 172 Project uses.

The Flight Simulation Community has given me so much and I would like to give back. Free C172 Plans were what got me into flight simulation when I was younger, and I don't want cost to be an obstacle for aspiring individuals building their own Cessna 172 Flight Sim.
If you are just getting started in Flight Simulation, I believe in you. You can do this. It will take time and hard work, but for me, it is definitely worth it, and you might find it is too.
